Mountain Blue Miniatures
- what we do: what we offer.
...manufacture a range of 'O'
Scale railroad figures in the finest "Old English" pewter. Our figures are
generally based on the Australian prototype, but they are
compatible with many railroad modelling styles and eras.
Mountain Blue figures
have been individually drop-cast. However, we are in the
process of updating our moulds to conform to the requirements of our
newly acquired Romanoff centrifugal casting machine. Each of
our production masters is individually made by hand, then "worked"
to sharpen detail and enhance their quality prior to making a
production mould. This will ensure that the figures you
receive are the very best we can make. They retain their
original "drop-cast" look. Our figures figures are round, not
flat like many mass-produced figures. Our
people are round from all angles - not only when looked at from the
front.
Mountain Blue
Miniatures figures are made from original masters that were created
by renowned figure carver, (the late) Rick Pearce
of Pearce Miniatures,
who was famous for his excellent line of Tin Soldiers.
Other items in the
range have been created by well known Australian modellers: John Hunter
who built the wagon.
